As interim Head of Skills and Capability at The Centre for Digital Public Services, our founder led the co-creation of the strategy to enhance digital skills across the public sector in Wales.

We help shape solutions to the toughest problems. We’ve worked with the homeless, bereaved, unemployed, addicted and abused. From discoveries to usability testing, we keep real human issues at the centre of digital services.

Over 30 years, we have worked with organisations like the Department for Work and Pensions, Ministry of Defence, Planning Inspectorate, Ministry of Justice, Crown Commercial Service, Scottish Enterprise, UK Cabinet Office, Disclosure Scotland, NHS Digital and Essex County Council.

Partnership

We work in partnership with organisations that need an experienced consultant to guide them through complex projects, digital service reviews, or assurance activities. My role is to bring clarity, challenge, and practical recommendations that help services succeed.

We also help teams prepare to represent their service with confidence at assessments; understanding what assessors look for, highlighting strengths, and addressing gaps so they can demonstrate the value of their work.

Public speaking

Open to sharing experiences, our founder Jane, speaks at events and runs tailored training. She has presented at Service Design in Government, UX Scotland, Rosenfield Advancing Research, Government Digital Service (GDS) International and other UK Government events. Jane has delivered training courses at the Department for Work and Pensions Digital Academy and The Scottish Government in collaboration with GDS.

Professional

Jane is a trained assessor for GOV.UK and the Scottish Government, a certified market researcher and coach, and co-founder of ResearchU Limited.

A member of the Market Research Society, The Dolan Method demonstrates the highest professional standards in research, and abides by the MRS Code of Conduct.

Alongside this, Jane provides consultancy for teams and leaders who need more than just research – they need a strategic partner. She understands the political realities services operate in and helps organisations prepare for scrutiny, handle sensitive issues, and represent their work with clarity and confidence.
